My name is Michael Anderson Samples and I'm one of the Assistant Pastors at Sharon Baptist Church. The purpose of this short biography of myself is to assure parents of who I am, where I come from, and what my intentions are. My lovely wife is Sara Samples and she is my principal help and best friend outside the Lord Jesus Christ. Reared in Cumming, GA, I've experienced all the changes for the past 26 years that has exploded here in Forsyth County. I attended Sawnee Elementary School before it was remodeled, Otwell Middle School before it moved, and Forsyth Central High School before it engulfed the old Otwell Middle School building. I went to college at both Truett-McConnell College and North Georgia College for music. I received an Associates Degree in Music when the Lord moved my heart to working in my local church.

Although I've experienced being a choir director, church musician, and teen director; I must admit that teaching and helping children has been the most heartwarming ministry that I have ever been apart of. I started with being the director over just the Bus Ministry and was immediately confronted with children, teenagers, adults…families with genuine needs. I quickly inherited a strong love for each person that came to Sharon Baptist Church on a bus. I never thought my heart could grow any bigger until I was placed over the Junior Church and the Wednesday Bible (WB) Program also. I now deal with approximately 120-150 children weekly and it seems that the Lord continues to expand the limits of my heart.

If your child or family is not a part of a Holy Spirited local church, let me encourage you to make a visit to Sharon Baptist Church. My wife Sara and I will do our best to follow the Lord in what children of today need to learn that will aid them in experiences in the future. We also believe that the Lord will continue to inflate our love to include you and your family… the only reason we don’t now is because we haven’t met you yet.
